BRIBES (ELLE)

SOUND VIDEO INSTALLATION / GENERATIVE FILM / FOUR-SCREEN MULTI-PROJECTION

Bribes #1 and Bribes #2 are two generative video installations created from footage shot in Tokyo and Venice.

Conceived as multi-screen environments, the works develop a fragmentary form of writing in which images, texts and sounds continuously recombine through a generative editing process.

In Venice, a woman moves through the city following the traces of architect Carlo Scarpa. In Tokyo, a man photographs the city during his daily wanderings. Between them, there is no explicit narrative, only a circulation of thoughts, fragments of dialogue, travel notes, ожидания and silences.

The two characters appear connected across distance through a mental geography shaped by absence, projection and missing images. The editing constantly creates echoes between the cities: movements of bodies, light, architecture, urban solitude and the flow of anonymous lives.

As often in my work, the narrative remains open and unstable. The films progress through fragments, shifts and intuitive correspondences rather than through linear causality. Intertitles, voices and images function like fragments of memory or consciousness, appearing and vanishing through the combinations generated by the software.

Somewhere between intimate fiction, documentary drift and mental diary, Bribes #1 and Bribes #2 explore not only movement through space, but also emotional distance and contemporary forms of solitude.
